Playing Catchup before my battery dies

My hubby came home for the weekend. He is in a class right now for several weeks. It ends on Thursday. Thank goodness I might be able to catch up on a lot of my posts. I have a lot to share and post with you.

Alas my broccoli did not survive the cold weather we have had. Some good things from our gardening:

Parsley

Parsley in all it’s glory

Something Sprouting

Something maybe onions? Who knows my husband planted them!

The Last Leaf

Last little thing of Broccoli and it is weeping 😦

Parsley is growing great, some of the herbs are still attempting to emerge from the soil. We also have something that looks akin to onions although it could be something else entirely. I am going to let my husband care for them while I am away and then give them to my green thumb friend Heather to care for while we are away in the states.

Please bear with my next couple of posts while I relay all the items I have attempted to record and share with you. I will be purchasing a new power cord for my computer in the states. I will be leaving for the states in a week with my daughter in tow. Looking forward to seeing family, friends and old acquaintances. It’s going to be a blast and with my daughter being at the age where everything is fun an exciting we won’t be bored.

Things you should look forward to me posting: Coffee Cake (An Easy but yummy recipe), What happens when you freeze cream cheese?, What the blooming is that coming from the yeast, My Husbands Favorite: Vinegar Mustard BBQ Pulled Pork in the crockpot, Deviled Eggs: are they your friend or Foe?, Marshmallowy Fondant!

Yes I was in a store in Bad Windsheim, a town down the road from where I live. They had a wonderful array of cupcakes. Well I should say beautifully made aromatic soaps. They are made to look baked goods. … Continue reading

I want to see what people think on this issue.  My friend had to answer this for a college class. Right now with obesity being an epidemic in the US (I’m not sure elsewhere, but this is more geared toward the US). I wonder whether regulation is strict enough or too lax on the whole matter.  I will reserve my thoughts until I see what thoughts and ideas are brought up.

Please Answer and give a comment to why yes or why not.
